PCruzer Posted November 17, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 17, 2016 Does anyone know if you can use your own coffee in these new in-cabin coffee machines?
Krazy Kruizers Posted November 17, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2016 If you use the tiny pods as shown in this picture, then you can bring your own.
slidergirl Posted November 17, 2016 #3 Share Posted November 17, 2016 MoCoffee is a company founded by the man who invented the Nepresso pod. The MoCoffee pod sure looks like a Nepresso, but I think it's claim to fame is that it is made from materials than are burnable, unlike those plastic pods that live forever. Maybe the re-fillable Nepresso pods would work in the machine. My hotel has the Nepresso machines and pods in the suites - they make a nice, strong cup of Italian-style coffee. slidergirl Posted November 17, 2016 #4 Share Posted November 17, 2016 I forgot - the Nepresso pods are very different from the K-Cups you see in stores everywhere. So, I highly doubt you could even use a K-Cup in there.
Rare 3rdGenCunarder Posted November 17, 2016 #5 Share Posted November 17, 2016 (edited) You absolutely cannot use a k-cup. These pods are smaller, and they go into the machine sideways, into a cut-out that exactly fits the pod. I'm not sure about nespresso pods. Judging from the photo, they sure look like nepresso-compatible pods. Even the names of the pods ("Lungo", "Espresso", "Decaffeinato") are like what we have at the hotel for our Nepresso machines. If someone likes their "normal" coffee, do the Lungo one and add some hot water to make it more American-like if you need to.
