Suite guests disembarking from Oasis

Recommended Posts

I realize Oasis has only been in Port Canaveral for a short period of time, but can any previous suite guests give me an idea of how long it takes to get off the ship and how far does the concierge escort you? Is it just off the ship, or do you get an escort right up to customs? The reason I ask is we have a 9am pick up time for transportation and an 11:30 flight from MCO. There is plenty of time to change things around if customs will be a major pain . TIA

We met at the Champagne Bar for disembarking with our concierge for around 8:15. We had signed up for this a few days earlier. The concierge lead our group past the disembarkation line (we did receive some glares) and lead us out. We quickly located our luggage (area reserved for suite guests) and were directed to to empty custom lines. We were outside the terminal in 20 minutes from the time we checked in with the concierge at the Champagne Bar. Fantastic!

And if you take advantage of luggage valet (a perk for GS and above), you don't even have to stop to pick up your bags. Go right through Customs and out to a taxi.

I checked on that also, Royal won't let you do luggage valet if your flight leaves before 1pm out of MCO, we'll be lugging it with us.

Was this out of Port Canaveral? If so, your signature does not reflect that sailing!

Just off oasis (grand suite) at port canaveral. Planned on using the 8:30 concierge departure service. We went to Champagne bar at 8:05 to wait and decided to roll the dice and go on our own after talking to a crew member. We did not have to go in the line waiting to disembark. We were directed right over to walk off of the ship. No looks since there was no one to walk by. Followed the mass group until we entered the port building and asked for the special line for suites. We were directed to the elevators which bypasses the line inside. Walked right over to get our luggage which was at the end but in view. Grabbed a porter and he walked us right up to customs with no wait and out to our shuttle. Took 15 minutes from champagne bar to shuttle (family of 5). We were at the radisson parking lot before 8:30.

Sorry, my mistake. Thought it was an 11AM cutoff. Maybe that was for departures from FLL when Oasis docked there.

That's correct, and it's been 11:30am lately for FLL flights. Luggage Valet for Port Canaveral departures to MCO flights has been 1pm.

Bob in FLL it has been an 11:30 cut off for 3 if not 4 years. On a side note I hope you had a good thanksgiving.
