What to do with luggage after cruise for a late flight?

We are considering a late flight after we return to Miami from a cruise. It is considerably cheaper than the other options and we'd love to spend an extra day in Miami. Our biggest issue is what to do with luggage for the day. Is there anywhere that will hold it for you?

Thanks for any ideas or experiences!

Luggage Lounge at Miami Beach is an option - taxi or Uber there, drop your bags, and you are free to explore South Beach. Then collect your bags, and taxi/Uber or ride the Airport Flyer Bus (about $3 each) to MIA.

I haven't actually done this yet, but we have a 9 p.m. flight after our cruise. We've reserved a rental car and will drop off even at FLL. Price was super reasonable, and then whatever we do, we have our bags.

Ah, another good idea! Thanks!

Hertz, Avis and other have downtown Miami locations, close to POM; about a $12+ cab ride (under $10 in an Uber) if they will not shuttle. National, Alamo, Thrifty and Enterprise shuttle between their MIA airport location and POM - if you get a good deal from someone else at MIA airport a taxi from POM will cost $27+tip or you can Uber for just under $20.

Couldn't the OP opt for the cruise ship Luggage Valet program also if available ?

Then they wouldn't have any luggage to worry about until they pick it up at their home airport. They could easily just have a backpack with them as they spend the day in Miami.

If available for their airline, luggage valet is a great option.

Best $30/person you'll ever spend. Royal takes your luggage outside your room the night before disembarkation. The next time you see them is at your final destination luggage carousel...

We used Luggage Lounge in Miami Beach yesterday. It is advertised as being open at 9 a.m. About 25 of us waited outside in the sweltering heat/humidity until it finally opened about 9:40 a.m. When we went to get our luggage back around 3 p.m. the woman on duty was dozing on a couch.

We used luggage transfer from Jet Service (customerservice@myjetservice.com) after our last cruise and it was super convenient.

An agent was waiting for us when we disembarked and he picked up our bags. We got them back at MIA airport when we were ready to check-in. So we were able to spend the entire day in Miami without worrying about our bags.

Car rental can be another option but parking in Miami and Miami Beach can be expensive so we prefer Uber/Lyft.

This sounds like a good option for us. How do you get your luggage at MIA? Do you go to some office there to pick up yor cases? Do you meet them at your airline check in area or some other designated meeting point?

I would like to store my luggage for 6 hours at Everglades cruise port after our cruise.  Do they have such an option

We had a 8 PM flight. We used Gold coast car rentals. They picked us up at the port took us to the rental place. We went out to eat and to the beach for the day and then the rental place took us to the airport. The rental was like 47 for the day
