NavarreCruiser Posted December 2, 2016 #64 Share Posted December 2, 2016 It is ZERO! Zero cruises in the last 12 months. I personally blame my wife and her need for fiscal responsibility. Yep, I know you will be reading this. This zero is your fault. Pity me cruise critics, pity my soul! You gave me a smile and laugh this morning.:)

NavarreCruiser Posted December 2, 2016 #66 Share Posted December 2, 2016 I'm very sorry to hear about your wife's passing, Bob. I know you must miss her very much. I'm guessing you have a lot of great cruising memories with her though. I wish you smooth sailing. Thanks for the thoughts and message. meatloafsfan Posted December 2, 2016 #68 Share Posted December 2, 2016 In 2016, 35 days on Carnival. Of course, this was one of the few years we sailed only on Carnival (21 night Journey cruise in Jan/Feb and then 2 seven night cruises in July & August). Next year it will be less: 12 Carnival (5 night and 7 night) 6 Royal 9 Celebrity 7 Disney so about the same number of nights (34 versus 35) but spread over multiple cruise lines. howow123 Posted December 2, 2016 #69 Share Posted December 2, 2016 25 - Pride (7), Valor (7), Paradise (4), Pride (7) August 2015 to May 2016. New count starting on 11/2016. Conquest (7), Fascination (7 - in 4/2017). This is becoming an addiction :)

winddawn Posted December 3, 2016 Author #72 Share Posted December 3, 2016 (edited) One thing strikes me after reading all these responses: how many of the cruisers here cruise on the same ship over and over. The conclusion I draw from that is that buying cruises is much like buying real estate: what matters is location, location, location. :-) We tend to cruise from those ports closest to home, even if it means cruising to the same destinations. I hope Carnival recognizes how important that is to us in North America. And maybe some of us would like to be able to visit different destinations from the same embarkation port. I've especially enjoyed reading about the cruises that retired and semi-retired cruisers are enjoying. What a great world we live in! I'm getting closer to their world, but I'm not quite there yet. :-) That's something to look forward to. In the mean time, we need to continue hearing from those retired and semi-retired cruisers here on Cruise Critic. You have so much knowledge to share with the rest of us. Keep 'em coming ya'll!
