Aquahound Posted December 3, 2016 #26 Share Posted December 3, 2016 Agree with those who said "Yes" on the balcony. Same here. I can't imagine not having a balcony on such a scenic cruise.
Rare MicCanberra Posted December 4, 2016 #27 Share Posted December 4, 2016 Same here. I can't imagine not having a balcony on such a scenic cruise. The best part is the railing isn't crowded and you always have the option of going topside.:D
iancal Posted December 7, 2016 #28 Share Posted December 7, 2016 (edited) We do not specifically look for a new ship. An older ship is just fine providing that it is well maintained and has the amenities that we want....usually a choice of optional dining venues. We stay away from anything that has reported issues with HVAC or plumbing. HVAC especially in warm climates. Older HVAC systems become less efficient over time. Don't want to be stuck in a sweatbox or a cabin that reeks of mold. We typically go with a balcony gty, more often than not booked inside the final payment window.
