I just came on cc to get some pictures of Harvest Cay since I ordered a beach cabana for my trip in February with just my mom (leaving family at home). It's her Christmas present and wanted to put something nice together to give her and up pops your post!

Thanks for the pictures. Were you able to charge you food/drinks to the shipboard account? I've heard conflicting accounts about this.

No one has been able to charge food/drinks to their shipboard account nor able to use UBP. Where did you read that someone actually on Harvest Caye was able to use their shipboard account??

I just paid cash. The latitudes party briefing did emphasize to take either cash or a credit card. So I don't know. All of the Caye employees wore shirts that had the Caye corporate owner emblems, not NCL emblems. During my visit, I just drank some beer, no other purchases.

Post 694 has a picture of receipt where is was charged to the cabin. So someone has been able to charge to the cabin :rolleyes: Trying to find out if this consistently happening as folks who were on the first week or two were not able to.

We were there last Friday. It started to rain, so I ducked into one of the bars for cover and asked someone if they took the ship card and they said yes. So I ordered a drink but the bartender said the system just went down. Seems those little bits of data couldn't get back to the mothership for verification and billing. No drink for me, but the Visa/MC/cash worked during the storm. Oh well..

I thought from other post that Harvest Caye was a tender port your pictures look like ship is docked and you walk down walkway to beach. Does Getaway dock or tender?

It's docked and the walkway it totally covered.

I used my ship account 12/1 at several stores and with my beach villa charges no problem. 12/1 Dawn.
