Northwest ?

NW as an airline is not "on strike", nor has it been. The airline's mechanics went on strike some time ago, but the airline had put in place contingency arrangements which seem to be working reasonably well, with relatively few delays and problems. The airline itself has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection since the strike began, but operations are continuing.

Northwest continues to operate its early-fall flight schedule despite a strike by the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA).

During this period NWA has employed experienced, licensed mechanics who are trained and prepared to safely and professionally maintain aircraft, according to Federal Aviation Administration regulations.

We had a flight cancelled leaving in January. But they just moved us to a flight that was an hour earlier.

I noticed you are from Iowa, too. Are you flying out of Des Moines on the 2nd? Just wondered if you would be on our flight?
