Ps up sell advice please

What would be a fair or typical price to up sell from a Neptune to a Pinnacle on a 7-day Caribbean cruise mid-Jan? Both are presently available. Thanks in advance for your advice.

I just got a e-mail from HAL offering us the same upsell for our Jan .2nd.

11 day Southern Caribbean for $1899 pp.Plus additional for Cancellation Insurance.:eek:

I was thinking of calling and counter offering around $1000 pp.:confused:

We did this on our Oct 2015 11-day Southern. When the email came out offering the upgrade, it was about 20 days before departure and both PSs were available (Oosterdam). They offered the upgrade for $999/person, which we jumped on.

 

Be quick though - I called in within 10 minutes of the email going out, and the first one had already been taken.

I got an offer for a Verandah to Neptune for a 7 day Caribbean for $699pp or Verandah to Superior Suite for $299pp.

 

In 2010 I got an offer from SY to Neptune for 10 day Panama for $399pp.

 

Not sure if there is any "typical" offer.

Well,they counter offered $1,499 pp plus 10% additional for Cancellation

Insurance, comes to $1648 pp

They have 3 PS available.I will hold off and see if they come down.:)

I would suggest you deciding what the max is you would be willing to pay and pre-authorizing your TA to accept an offer up to $xxx.

We got (and accepted) a Neptune-to-Pinnacle upsell on the November 18 Oosterdam 7-day Western Caribbean out of Tampa for $399 per person.

I did not hear any more from HAL,they probably got the 3 PS sold.

I am quite content with my NS,it has all the perks of the PS other than size.

My opinion is if the PS had an extra shower it would be more desirable.

The shower on the Eurodam looks much like that on the Rotterdam. We would miss the personal hot tub on the balcony and bedroom window.
