springaussie Posted January 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2017 Does anyone know when Mariner of the Seas should enter dry dock this year? It is on the list to do this year but I cannot see a gap in cruises for a 4 week dry dock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ashland Posted January 6, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 6, 2017 I believed it is March...when I'm assuming it will become even more Asianized than it was the last time I sailed on it.....sorry JMHO and experience.
caribbeanboy Posted January 6, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 6, 2017 (edited) On RCI website there are sailings on March 3,10,27,20 and whole month of April. On another website there is a Mar 17th sailing as well for the Mariner. Edited January 6, 2017 by caribbeanboy

springaussie Posted January 23, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted January 23, 2017 Marina Bay Cruise Terminal Singapore website claims Mariner of the Seas Departs 17 Mar 2017 Friday 1:00 PM Dry Dock Mariner of the Seas Arrives 26 Mar 2017 Sunday 6:00 PM Only a quick one. So what about the 10 year refit in 9 days? http://mbccs.com.sg/index.php
BecLaskus Posted January 23, 2017 #8 Share Posted January 23, 2017 Maybe they're super organised and competent and can get it all done in just over a week
chengkp75 Posted January 23, 2017 #9 Share Posted January 23, 2017 I'm a bit surprised that the Mariner is drydocking this year, since she's only 14 years old. The normal schedule would have her docking in 2018, but she may have had an earlier drydock scheduled early, changing the schedule. Having said that, a technical drydock could well be completed in 9 days, especially if there is no "transit" time, which would be the case in Singapore. I've seen nothing recently mentioned. Could have been only routine marine maintenance and inspection.
springaussie Posted March 31, 2017 Author #12 Share Posted March 31, 2017 In line Skating is still on board Mariner. No Florider No waterslides like Adventure. The other Voyager ships got Flowrider why not Mariner. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The crew did mention it was going be a dry dock though they don't know the details when i asked in Oct last year. In line Skating is still on board Mariner. No Florider No waterslides like Adventure. Could be it's purpose is primarily gambling and the improvements we've seen on other ships are not relevant to it's current situation.

She does a lot of charters while in China. Also most cruises are 3 to 5 nights. But the number of Aussies who cruise on Mariner while she is in Singapore is incredible October to March each year. scorpluvsdolphins Posted June 20, 2017 #18 Share Posted June 20, 2017 Did she get a suite lounge or does she still have the CL on deck 9? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Biker19 Posted June 20, 2017 #19 Share Posted June 20, 2017 CL, - it would be interesting to see if it gets converted to an SL during dry dock. I don't see it happening since it didn't happen with Adventure.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums We had a Deck 9 cabin (JS) and saw it was still CL. There were "paint smell" and the miniature golf carpets were new too. Sailor...!!!!! There is no free time before she leaves Singapore for any drydock. I believe the cruise before was cancelled but now there is a 3 and 4 day cruise right before instead. We will be on her from Singapore to Miami and when we last cruised on her in October 2017, she was still in great condition.
