jazzynannie Posted January 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2017 Good Day All My family and I are cruising in August and I have receive an email stating that the has been a Carnival Liberty Itinerary change. Instead of going to Nassau and Freeport we are now going to Princess Cays and Nassau, courious to know as I have never been to either island so what would be the difference? Rare sparks1093 Posted January 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2017 Since Freeport is an industrial port and you need transportation to get anywhere I would say the change is in your favor. Princess Cays is Princess Cruise Line's private island and from the look of it you'll have a very nice beach day. We lost Port Canaveral on our Pride cruise and I would have preferred losing Freeport, but CCL didn't consult me;).

pghsteelerfan Posted January 11, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 11, 2017 I've never been to Princess Cays but just this morning, someone posted a bunch of pictures of Princess Cays on a social networking site on one of the cruise pages...gorgeous!!! I've also never been to Freeport but have heard the same things as sparks1093 mentioned and seen pictures. Looks like you've been "upgraded". :)

Kfoot Posted January 11, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 11, 2017 (edited) I agree with the other posters. You've been upgraded. I've been to Freeport twice and would never go back. It's industrial. You're not missing anything. Although I've never been to Princess Cay it's a place I've always wanted to go due to the gorgeous pics I've seen. Since this is your 1st cruise keep in mind this is a relaxing beach day for you, and to explore the area as much as you want. The barbecue lunch they serve is free. GUT2407 Posted January 11, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 11, 2017 Sounds like you've had a win. But be aware even if it had been the other way around, nothing you could have done about it.
