Buckeyecruiser76 Posted January 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2017 My wife and I are going to be in Cozumel on March 4th from 8am to 6pm and had planned on going to Mr Sancho's, however; we were informed that there will be a private event that day. We then tried to purchase a day pass at Nachi cocom only to find out they are booked as well. Does anybody have suggestions for a nice Beach club or resort not too far away from the international pier that offers day passes?

c-leg5 Posted January 17, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 17, 2017 Take a look at Cozumel Water Sports for several AI options.
c-leg5 Posted January 17, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2017 Park Royal, suggested above, is a good, convenient and inexpensive option for a day pass from International, with no transport necessary. Be advised that AI food and drinks are from 11- 6, although you can access the facilities earlier. We usually take a leisurely breakfast on board and then walk over. Gintraveler Posted January 17, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 17, 2017 The nice thing about Cozumel is that you have many options to choose. Close to International you can go either to El Cid or Park Royal. El Cid has a small "man made" beach, food and drinks are good. Park Royal is also a good option if you want to stay close. If you really want a beach, there are many options.. maybe the Allegro or the Occidental? (they are very close to Nachi), or maybe Papito's Beach, Carlos n' Charlies? If you want to explore another part of the island, maybe go north and try Hotel B or El Cozumeleno? (you would have to take a taxi to get there). As they mentioned before you can take a look at Cozumel Water Sports or shoreexcursioneer, they have a lot of options. I liked the Occidental, nice pools, nice beach, the food is also good. Buckeyecruiser76 Posted January 17, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted January 17, 2017 Thanks so much for the suggestions, does anybody have any personal experiences at any of the resorts with day passes? Was it worth while? Thanks again!
c-leg5 Posted January 17, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 17, 2017 (edited) Thanks so much for the suggestions, does anybody have any personal experiences at any of the resorts with day passes? Was it worth while? Thanks again! Depends what facilities you are looking for and how active you want your day to be. We have spent time at Park Royal, pass bought on the day in the lobby, for a nice relaxing day with nice pool, good inside buffet lunch or outdoor snacks. Also bought "cheaper" pass (they have two) to El Cid - fine for a few hours off the boat, but facilities not as big or nice as Park Royal. Advantages of both these are that you save transport costs and you can decide "on the day". Disadvantages you cannot get an early start so value depends on port hours. We have also had passes to Allegra and Occidental, better if you want an actual, larger, sandy beach. Edited January 17, 2017 by c-leg5
Buckeyecruiser76 Posted January 17, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted January 17, 2017 Great suggestions! We're looking for a nice sandy Beach with the option to use kayaks and a resort with decent food and drinks. Royal park looks nice and it would be convenient, it might not check all of the boxes that we're looking for though. Thanks again for everyone's help. I think you should look at Occidental in that case. Kayaks are not included in the day pass but there is a vendor on the beach.
