CAS Birthday gift & Golden perks

I'll be sailing on the Breakaway on my actual birthday and am wondering what gifts others have received from CAS during their birthday?

I've been Golden for some time and I'm assuming your gifted based on your tier.

Obviously this "gift" will not make or break my cruise.....just curious!

Also, I believe I read that Golden can get canned soda at the casino bar and a pack of cigarettes a day? I was never told that before but wanted to confirm.

I've also been very lucky and had really great hosts that pretty much comped everything off my final bill, so it wasn't like I ended up paying for cigarettes anyway. BUT now that we can't bring soda on board anymore, grabbing a can of soda to bring back to the room would be awesome!!!

Normally, during the month of your birth, there will be a card from the casino valid for a bottle of wine from them.

Casino Girl reported that the BA gives canned soda. I have not seen this on any other ship. So, you may be in luck. We do take advantage of the free bottled water from the casino bar. Since I do tip the bartenders, by the end of our last cruise, every time I walked past the casino bar, the bartender would hold up a bottle of water :)

The last two cruises, on the jewel and star, got a bottle of wine delivered to our cabin courtesy of the casino host (not the months of our birthday).

The one time we sailed in my birthday month was 3 yrs ago, on the breakaway. I got a black tshirt with "casino at seas" in gold embossed on the front. It's quite comfy and wear it often as a pj top. Unless the gifts have greatly improved, would not be a factor in deciding what month to book a cruise :D

I too am curious what others have got.

For all these cruises I was at the golden level.

Yes, that is correct.

Last March on my actual bday, we had wine and strawberries in our room, I got a bottle of bubbly from the host while playing our table game, and then they sent us a cake at Moderno that night...my hubby and our new friends made a pretty big deal about it being my birthday so that may have had something to do with it...or not.

  • 7 months later...

Update on bday gift.......

Just sailed on the escape in my birthday month. I am at the sapphire level (previously known as golden). I got $50 free play. Much preferred over the tshirt I got a few years back.

If you happen to be sailing the month of your birthday make sure you ask about it. I actually completely forgot about this perk but when I first put my players card in it wished me a happy bday and instructed me to see a host for my "gift".

The message only appeared the first time I put in the card.

The amount you get depends on what level you are at and I do not know what the other levels receive.

Happy sailings!

Thanks for the update Deefer! Sailing next month on the Escape a couple of weeks after my birthday and I am Sapphire. $50 free play sounds like a nice gift to me!

I can also verify that on Escape earlier this year I was able to get canned sodas to take to the room from the casino bartender.
