New deck chair pad covers on Veendam

The Veendam seems to be rolling out new covers for the deck chair pads.

I would hope so. When I was on the Veendam in early July 2016, the chair pads were so filthy and full of mold and mildew that it was impossible to sit on the chairs.

Deck chairs have been cleaned up by the time we got on in Oct 2016. Never saw a problem.

The deck chairs on Amsterdam in the fall of 2016 were in need of replacement. Seams were burst on many and stuffing was coming out. I'm glad HAL is replacing them on Veendam too. Not sure I like the new color but they didn't ask me. m--

Very attractive, but still on the thin side.

 

That's the one good thing Oceania offered---very thick pads on the loungers, covered with a washable terrycloth. The loungers themselves weren't as nice, but the seat was well padded and comfortable.

Nice. I hope they got some teak oil rubbed into them too. They were pretty dry in December 2015.
