pieshops Posted January 26, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2017 We have been platinum for a bit but have never had to tender anywhere, but we will on our upcoming cruise. How does priority Tendering work for platinum members?
Ktuluorion Posted January 26, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2017 I think it's similar to the suites in that the concierge or assistant brings you down the crew elevator and brings you to the front of the line.
armwinder Posted January 26, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2017 Just line up at the back of the line, no ticket necessary. If you are on a NCL tour follow the instructions on the tour voucher. If you are in a suite and not on a NCL tour talk to your concierge.
Rare KeithJenner Posted January 26, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 26, 2017 Yes, it basically means that you can turn up when you want, rather than reserving a time. It doesn't mean that you go to the front of the queue though, you still need to queue up. That's how it worked when we used it anyway.

Rare KeithJenner Posted January 26, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 26, 2017 how is that "priority tendering" then? Don't know, I didn't name it. However, it is certainly an advantage not having to try to get an early tender time, which I believe can cause some queueing. When we did use the platinum tendering in Santorini, the queues started building a few hours before they started giving out the tickets the day before. We didn't need to do that. Tiggertastic Posted January 26, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 26, 2017 Depends on the ship, they leave you a card but on epic I go to guest relations and ask them to book me on a particular time and they always do Sent from my iPad using Forums
TrumpyNor Posted January 26, 2017 #8 Share Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) how is that "priority tendering" then? It means that you can que up for any tender you would like to, instead of waiting for a particular color tender group to be called (they usually distribute tender tickets the evening before, and the early colors always goes fast). When you are Platinum you just show up at whatever time that suits you, and by doing that we have several times been among the first passengers to get to the pier of a tender port (to be escorted to the front of the line by the concierge is usually only for people in suites, so I wouldn't count on that one). But I would definitely still call that priority - but of course only if you are interested in getting in to the port on the first few tenders. After all the "colored tender ticket groups" have been transported in to the pier, then it is "open" tendering for everyone. NCL used to give guests with Platinum status a priority tender ticket (paper) that you needed to show whenever you were ready to board a tender, but on the last couple of cruises they didn't - we were just told to show our ship cards that has "Platinum" printed on them, and that worked perfectly fine. Cruisermom2nick Posted January 27, 2017 #9 Share Posted January 27, 2017 Is Priority tendering for Platinum only or Silver too?

Incorrect. Platinum priority tendering allows you to join the line at any time. You don't have to pull a number (or if you pulled a very high number,,,, you can just join the line). It does not mean you go to the front of the line. Only suites guests get that privilege. When you join the line, there could be multiple groups/tenders ahead of you and it could still take 45 minutes to get off the ship.
