9:00pm Embarking San Juan on the Jewel?

Thinking about booking this cruise for next January. The embarking time is 9:00pm. Does that mean you need to be aboard by 7:00pm? Was considering flying in the night before, dropping our bags off 9-10am and site seeing the rest of the day if possible.

Can't help on time but make sure you get the right port. Seems NCL uses the Pan American pier quite a bit as well as the ones in Old San Juan.

I'm curious about this as well. With a situation like this, when does muster occur?

We did the cruise out of San Juan this past October. We checked in the morning and then explored Old San Juan until about 5 or 6. We took a taxi into Old San Juan as we were at the Pan American port.

 

I don't think they will be ready to take your luggage at 9 or 10. They don't have porters like in Miami where you just drop your luggage. We stayed with our luggage until right before we checked in where they took it. But we still had plenty of time to explore. No problem to get on the ship and get back off.
