maryland Posted February 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2017 Saw this on the Cozumel Cruise Excursions website. Doesn't say what the resort is, but it seems like a pretty good deal for an all-inclusive. Has anyone ever booked this excursion before and if so how was it? Also, does anyone know which resort this is? Thanks

Purvis1231 Posted February 12, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 12, 2017 This looks great, I wonder why they do not list the name of the resort. I have used this company with good results-they list the names of all their resorts: https://www.shoreexcursioneer.com/cozumel/allegro-resort-all-inclusive-day-pass.html

It has been a few years since we went but I think the fourth pool mentioned on the first website is restricted and I don't recall a swim-up bar, but the weather was really bad the day we were there so maybe I missed it! maryland Posted February 12, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted February 12, 2017 Ok, thanks. Does anyone know how the food and drink part of the pkg. works? Is it buffet, sit-down restaurant service, beach waiters for drinks, etc. just trying to figure out the specifics to see if we want to do this or someplace like Nachi Cocum. c-leg5 Posted February 12, 2017 #8 Share Posted February 12, 2017 Ok, thanks. Does anyone know how the food and drink part of the pkg. works? Is it buffet, sit-down restaurant service, beach waiters for drinks, etc. just trying to figure out the specifics to see if we want to do this or someplace like Nachi Cocum. As I said, it has been a few years since we were there. We specifically went because we had a toddler and wanted to use the children's splash area which is much smaller and quieter than Playa Mia - unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate and we were unable to use it. Since we had young child we didn't look for sit-down menu restaurant for lunch but there was an open-air covered building for sit-down lunch buffet. (However, I believe this may be the building that later burnt down and was re-built? So not sure what it is like now.) There are several bars as I recall, I think some roving waiters, like the ship, but not a dedicated server like Nachi. We collected our own drinks from the bar without problem. It is a typical AI hotel resort. It probably has more included activities than Nachi and I think it depends on the demographics of your group which you would prefer. For our group, with young child it was fine, probably even great, if it hadn't been so cold and windy. (As an aside, my son and GF went to Nachi next door the same day and were less than impressed with their experience there but probably mostly due to the same cold windy weather.) I haven't been to Nachi yet but I have done day passes to Allegra and Park Royal and land vacation at Occidental.
