Mhl76 Posted February 20, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2017 Going on The Norwegian Breakaway this summer… This is our first Norwegian cruise. It is myself, my wife, 10-year-old son and 8-year-old daughter. Who has the best secrets and tips for this ship? Thank you in advance for the help! WashyWashyHappyHappy95 Posted February 20, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2017 My first tip would be to do a search for similar threads. They're full of all kinds of useful information!
js Posted February 20, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 20, 2017 Find Gambees Breakaway cruise review and start from there. Sailed Breakaway three times although my kids are much older we all had a blast. Just keep reading all the reviews and ask questions but start with Gambee review. Enjoy! kevin@ncaks.com Posted February 20, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 20, 2017 O'Sheehans Neighborhood Bar & Grill has what they call a poundcake but it's really a strawberry shortcake and it is wonderful. Their Pot Pie is also unbelievable...Don't miss these

Rare BirdTravels Posted April 3, 2017 #10 Share Posted April 3, 2017 Comedy shows in Headliners. Early shows are family oriented. Late shows 18+ (don't show up with your kids trying to find something to end your evening). Register your kids for the Splash Academy on the first day and allow them to make some new friends on the first day. Then dad and mom can have some alone time as the cruise goes on. For the Cirque, if you are not in a suite, have one person line up at least an hour before show time. Seating is first come first serve front to back in the theater. Welcome to NCL! Enjoy the Breakaway (we're sailing on her next month for the 3rd time).
Honestlee314 Posted April 4, 2017 #11 Share Posted April 4, 2017 We have sailed the Breakaway 5 times... If your kids will be in Splash Academy and you want some peace and quiet without spending extra for Vibe, head to Spice H20 during the day. Enjoy!! We did it on the BA last August and on the Gem last month. Call the reservation number or if in a suit call the onshore concierge to request an in cabin bar set up! Be prepared though, it isn't cheap!! Sent from my iPad using Forums
Enjoy001 Posted April 8, 2017 #14 Share Posted April 8, 2017 Make sure you see the Cirque show. The performers are amazing. Also Howl at the Moon if you like Duelin Pianos. If you want to do the Trivia make sure you get there early ( if they hold it in the Atrium ). It is very crowded and noisy so you'll want good seats. my cruise history with NCL : Date Ship Name/Description Stateroom Type 1995 Starward Res Arch Cruise Inside 2002 Sun Res Arch Cruise Inside 2008 Dawn 7-Day Eastern Caribbean Balcony 2009 Spirit 7-Day Exotic Western Caribbean Balcony 2009 Dawn 7-Day Bermuda Balcony 2010 Jewel 7-Day Bahamas & Florida Mini-Suite 2011 Star 7-Day Sawyer Glacier Mini-Suite 2011 Jewel 7-Day Bahamas & Florida Mini-Suite 2012 Star 7-Day Bermuda New York Suite 2012 Gem 9-Day Eastern Caribbean From New York Mini-Suite 2012 Star 7-Day Bermuda New York Balcony 2013 Gem 9-Day Eastern Caribbean From New York Mini-Suite 2014 Epic 11- Day Rome & The Vatican Cruisetour Mini-Suite 2014 Breakaway 7 Day Bahamas & Florida From New York Mini-Suite 2015 Gem 7-Day Bahamas & Florida From New York Suite 2017 Breakaway 7-Day Bahamas & Florida From New York Mini-Suite
