Peace2U Posted March 6, 2017 Author #26 Share Posted March 6, 2017 Tevas were designed by white water enthusiasts. They were literally designed to be functional for active water activities like kayaking, rafting, canoeing, etc. Meant to be able to be worn for the land portion and the wet portion of your day with fully adjustable straps to keep the soles on your feet, but having minimal straps to speed dry recovery after getting out of the water. I would highly recommend Tevas. They always look so nice too!
Peace2U Posted March 6, 2017 Author #27 Share Posted March 6, 2017 What doesn't he like about the cheap water shoes? Will he wear them again (another excursion, another time? If he's still growing why waste the money on expensive shoes to only wear once. (Been there, done that with a child who's foot finally stopped growing). He will only wear them for the excursion. He only likes one style of shoe, besides ones he wears around the house. If he is out in public, it has to be high top tennis shoes. I considered just cancelling his part of the excursion, but he really wants to go. It's very frustrating.

Is he old enough to be left onboard? Though, personally, I'd only feel comfortable leaving a teenager and going on a cruise tour.
lbjen Posted March 6, 2017 #29 Share Posted March 6, 2017 If he really wants to go, then a few hours in a sucky shoe shouldn't be stopping him. He will hopefully be otherwise distracted once you get going!

Rare sprint180 Posted March 6, 2017 #31 Share Posted March 6, 2017 How about, you get what you get and you don't throw a fit. I mean if he is only wearing them once I would not spend much money.
