How so I book the 2 bedroom AquaTheater Suite

Recommended Posts

On my last cruise we booked a 2 bedroom AquaTheater Suite for the 4 of us for this October on Allure. We would like to change the sailing to the Harmony for 2018. I have heard that you have to have more than 4 people to book the 2 bedroom AquaTheater suite. Is this correct?

Not really. I have booked 2 ATS cruises with just 2 people (1 in Feb of this year and one in Sept. of this year).

You just have to find a cruise where one of these suites is available...and it's not an easy thing to do b/c they are so popular they sell out almost immediately.

It wouldn't hurt to call RCI and see if they have any of these suites available for the dates you are interested in but my guess is, they are already booked.

I'm sure you're aware that these suites will soon be reclassified from Star down to Sky class. I suspect that Royal thinks that the popularity of these suites will remain high even without the Star amenities. I guess we'll have to wait and see if that is the case.

Thank you for sharing. I will definitely check into whether the new booking will have the same classification of star class as my past booking. It was the reason we booked it in the first place for "full experience."

If you are changing to a date that is currently available then you would still receive the Star class perks. If you are changing to one of the dates after April 2018 that will be released next week then you will not get the Star class perks.

Also know that you will pay more for this cabin on Harmony than you did on Allure.

I'm surprised to hear that you can book with so few people. Just 2 people in a 2-bedroom suite? Does Royal hold them back, and then allow fewer passengers to book if they don't fill it with a bigger party?

Yes, as it gets closer to the sailing date, RC might lower the minimum occupancy requirement.

Did Serenade 12 nite repo in Oct 2016. 4 weeks B4 sailing the 2bed/2bath cabin opened & I had it by myself. But seen cabins open even sooner...

We booked the 2 bedroom ATS over a year in advance for 3 people. The total cost was the about the same as when we had the same suite for 7 people. Per person price was much higher with just 3. Glad we are doing this while it's still Star class. Can't imagine the cost of booking one of the other rooms!

  • 10 months later...

Hi, I just booked the ATS 2 bedroom today for Oct 2018...we changed rooms as we needed 2 bedrooms...husband is a loud snorer and we loved the deck. However, since then, I can't get on cruiseplanner. Also our room is booked for 10730 but it says 9th deck. It is 1 am and I just checked again...it says our reservation is being modified. So now I am a bit worried. I will call in the morning to see what is up. It stated all the perks were available for this room. For the money we are spending...I hope we get the perks.

You do get all the Star Class perks. This thread is over 9 months old and information that was correct at that time is not correct now.

Great, thank you for replies. The perks that I read about sound so nice. We are so excited as this is my husbands first cruise and my second cruise. My first cruise was just to Bahamas, stayed for 7 days at Bahamas and then back aboard ship to go back...so I don't really know what total cruise life is like. I'm so excited I can't stop thinking about it! I am doing a lot of research checking all room plans and deck plans, watching some ytube videos, checking the boards, etc.

The only thing I have a problem with is that the RCCL website is giving me troubles. I can't access the "cruise planner" now that I changed rooms. I suppose I will have to give them a call.

As far as excursions, when should be reserve those? Whats the best company to go with for excursions? I appreciate all replies! :*

Did you get a new reservation number when you changed rooms? May have to add it under the “don’t see reservation” part of the cruise planner. Have to say I’m so jealous!!! I’ve been staying away from ships that have Royal Suite Class so I don’t see anyone with their genies! Lol

They tell me the reservation # is the same when I changed rooms. I think it is a problem with either my computer or the website. I will call to get it sorted.

I'm not so sure what a genie is? We got this suite mainly because my husband snores out of this world, and I read the sofa beds are not that comfortable. He wants the master...and since he is paying...he said we could get a 2bedroom. :D It practically doubled our price and the travel insurance went wayyy up. But this is our first cruise together and so we are splurging. Can you tell me more about the genie if you can?

He/she will contact you about 2 weeks before your cruise. You get a questionnaire from them I think 2 months out but not sure of that time. They plan out your week for you and then go over it with you first day. You are met at the front door of the terminal by a RCCL employee. Your bags stay with you DO NOT give to porter. Everything stops for you to walk in. It’s amazing. You go right to check in. They fill out the forms. You just sign. Then you are handed off to your genie. We were the first one on the ship. It was again great. Straight to your room. Genie goes over your schedule. Make changes then. Every night a specialty restaurant - free. All the non-alcoholic beverages are stocked in your room. Someone will show up every afternoon from the bar and make whatever drink you want. Everything and I mean everything is included. Tips. WiFi. Specialty dining. All beverages, even the frozen alcoholic. Front row seats to all the shows. Genie will meet you and take you to your seats. I can’t think of anything else. If you have questions just ask or maybe others will chime in. You want something done just ask your genie!!! Day of debarkation your genie meets you in your room and escorts you out. They have a card so you are the only one on the elevator. Again, you go to the head of the lines. Only downside is be prepared for “looks” from other cruisers wondering who you are. You will enjoy this pampering. Have a wonderful time!!!

I think it's sometimes hard to find good information about the genie service because it's really hard to put into words. But think of your genie as a personal concierge - anything you can think of or want, just ask. They really don't want to say no to you. They will make all your reservations, reserve front row seating at shows and help you with priority embarkation and disembarkation......but it's just something *more* than that. It's feeling very VIP everywhere you go on this ship.

This might be the time you wear your sea pass on a lanyard around your neck, because any time someone on the ship sees the color of your card they will work extra hard to make you happy. All the specialty dining is included and all the drinks.

Honestly I don't ever want to cruise without these perks again. I work so hard and handle all the logistics for our family and having the genie there to handle all the details was the absolute best for me.
