Ken at the beach Posted March 13, 2017 #383 Share Posted March 13, 2017 Hey Andrew, I spoke to one of the Flowrider staff this afternoon and asked if they were doing the "Flow show" the last day. She said they are down 2 crew so they wouldn't be. She said the staff wanted to still do it but the supervisor nixed it.:( That show is always one of the highlights. Rare A&L_Ont Posted March 13, 2017 Author #386 Share Posted March 13, 2017 Dinner at Jamie's. For Apps we had the meat platter. Our waiter suggested this salad. It was surrounded with prosciutto and pear. It was delicious. The Mains. Owen had the spaghetti. Lisa had the ribeye. I had the lamb. Our waiter also suggested we have the risotto dish and fettuccine alfredo with truffle sauce. The second was really very nice the first was OK. Rare A&L_Ont Posted March 13, 2017 Author #387 Share Posted March 13, 2017 After a more than filling supper we were able to send dessert down our esophaguses. Lisa had the brownie with salted caramel ice cream and popcorn. I being the more delicate one had the lemon sorbet. As I closed my eyes and let it melt in my mouth, it took me back to a little place long forgotten called Giovanni's. The aftermath. Over all it was a wonderful dinner where our server Emil kept us posted on where our orders were in line. That fact alone was greatly appreciated. We just might return this cruise. And for those that are following along on periscope you already know we were cutting up the wave shortly after supper. The perfect way to end the day. rrzj Posted March 14, 2017 #389 Share Posted March 14, 2017 Did you have the ability to reserve the cabana before boarding or did you wait until you were on board to do this with your genie? They keep telling me that I can only do it once on board with the genie ... Thanks! Looks glorious! Home for the day. Rare A&L_Ont Posted March 14, 2017 Author #392 Share Posted March 14, 2017 Labadee in local patois must loosely translate to - a destination with sun with a chance of burn, while you eat a bit too much but somehow still room for a bit more, as you sweat your ass off to be followed by a quick run across burning sand, to swim in water which is somehow cold enough to cause shrinkage, after you two foot over the coral as you get in and add a healthy portion of dubious sales and marketing techniques if you go to the straw market. Labadee - a favourite stop for us, and great way to spend the day. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

readytolose Posted March 14, 2017 #398 Share Posted March 14, 2017 Thank you for taking us along on your vacation. Your pictures from the flow rider brings back so many memories. We rented the flowrider at night on our cruise with the kids way back in 2009. That hour was the highlight of our trip and the kids (not so much kids anymore, the youngest is now 20!) will still bring it up from time to time. I was a little hesitant about spending the money on it but it turned out to be the best money spent and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Enjoy the rest of your cruise! Rare A&L_Ont Posted March 14, 2017 Author #399 Share Posted March 14, 2017 The moon Saturday night. There were some partial moons last night at the flow rider, but that type of moon isn't allowed on CC. Bumped into Abe after Fine Line in the Boardwalk. I'd have to say be is one of the most out and about CDs that we have sailed with. In 3 days we have had three "personal" interactions. He has a crazy jacket but I have to say my shirt is so much cooler. Fellow Canucks will understand. We had a few items waiting in our room tonight. This one is for Owen. For me. I guess they want me to have lots of Lays at night. The moon tonight. Sent from my iPad using Forums
