  1. I don’t know when it opened, but Quantum OTS is now open for booking re: EB TP cruise, HNL-SYD (18nts, 5 ports). It doesn’t show up in the list of transpacific cruises on Royal’s site (if you use the filter), but it’s the only Quantum cruise when I looked at October 2021. I thought the rates were good, especially for junior suites, under $2k/pp for the NRD cruise fare w/out any C&A discounts.
  2. We did the online request on Wednesday also, but haven’t seen where our sailing was changed as of this morning. Our TA received notification of our L&S submission right away, but we didn’t receive anything other than the notification box after the submission. We have a guarantee type room and the two sailings we picked were not advertising guarantee type cabins so maybe our request will need additional review.
  3. Did you select just one cruise to change to? Did you have the option to select multiple sailings to change to? I don’t see where anyone else mentioned it, but we did.
  4. With everything that is going on, if things don’t change, I don’t see how cruising will resume. Regarding “until after 2021,” I don’t know how any business can shutter its doors for 20 months and still survive. RCI’s debt is piling up. We’re hoping things get better, so we’re keeping our RCI cruise reservations for now.
  5. Is anyone else getting the option to pick three sailing preferences for what you want to L&S to when using the online link?
  6. Is anyone else getting the option to pick three sailing preferences for what you want to L&S to? We have two cabins on the same cruise to do the L&S. We picked out two suitable cruises on Symphony OTS and submitted the L&S request for one cabin. Afterwards, it occurred to me that it would be possible for one of our cabins to get the first preference cruise and the other cabin get the second preference cruise. We’re going to wait and see what sailing the first request gets assigned and then request that one for the other cabin.
  7. The results of this study indicates asymptomatic carriers of Covid-19 may not be contagious. Abstract Background: An ongoing outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has spread around the world. It is debatable whether asymptomatic COVID-19 virus carriers are contagious. We report here a case of the asymptomatic patient and present clinical characteristics of 455 contacts, which aims to study the infectivity of asymptomatic carriers. Material and methods: 455 contacts who were exposed to the asymptomatic COVID-19 virus carrier became the subjects of our research. They were divided into three groups: 35 patients, 196 family members and 224 hospital staffs. We extracted their epidemiological information, clinical records, auxiliary examination results and therapeutic schedules. Results: The median contact time for patients was four days and that for family members was five days. Cardiovascular disease accounted for 25% among original diseases of patients. Apart from hospital staffs, both patients and family members were isolated medically. During the quarantine, seven patients plus one family member appeared new respiratory symptoms, where fever was the most common one. The blood counts in most contacts were within a normal range. All CT images showed no sign of COVID-19 infection. No severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infections was detected in 455 contacts by nucleic acid test. Conclusion: In summary, all the 455 contacts were excluded from SARS-CoV-2 infection and we conclude that the infectivity of some asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 carriers might be weak. 8. Do you know if the threshold of what is considered a positive test result is the same with Florida and Canada?
  9. Are Covid-19 tests accurate or not and how about anti-body tests? It seems I’ve read where they are, and then where aren’t. Which is it? I’m all for pre-tests if accurate before being allowed to board. At least in theory, the ship would not have any Covid cases. Does anyone know the reliability of flu tests, and if they’ve ever been used as a screening tool? The quandary would be if such flu tests or other similar tests weren’t super reliable and the same exists for Covid testing, then what gives?
  10. Any idea how many of the 3-5% get hospitalized? Two of my out of state relatives had Covid-19 one month ago and both recovered at home for two weeks. They told me it was like a bad cold, and the only difference was their heightened concerns of being contagious.
  11. One way Covid-19 spreads: take a patient with anxiety based symptoms and place them in a hospital room with other confirmed Covid patients. Next, make the patient wait unnecessarily for days for their test result. Continue to treat the patient as if they have Covid even after several negative test results until the patient catches Covid. Continue mixing non-Covid patients on Covid only hospital floors. Repeat. One way Covid kills: treat a patient improperly with a ventilator, deny the patient other treatment, try to trick the nurses to treat the patient as if a Do Not Resuscitate order is in place by the doctor when it is not because the family did not agree to it (hide this from the family), a doctor treating all Covid patients as terminal, & deny family members access to the patient so the horrible activity isn’t witnessed. Repeat.
  12. I found this video very informative. Unfortunately, the situation is probably being repeated a lot more than we know.
  13. It worked for me just now on Empress 3/14/2021. I had added my C&A#. We’re btw 350-&700pts. Other questions on here got me curious so I went back and tried the code w/out my C&A# and the code still worked.
