Succesful Excursion Price Match Thread

I wanted a thread that listed the excursions at every port that someone had successfully price matched for. I looked for a thread like this, but I could not find one.

 

I'll start:

 

Costa Maya -

It was last summer so I do not remember the vendor, but you could google Harrison Caves and find the vendors and prices.

Las Caletas in Puerto Vallarta. I was a little surprised because the company doesn't actually allow passengers on cruise ships to book outside of the ship. But it was accepted and a saved a few bucks using the excursion company's website.

I'd want a pretty good saving to go private. I would not want to save ten bucks only to lose tender priority and the guarantee that I won't miss the ship!

No one said you have to go private. You use the Carnival 110% guaranteed on shore excursion to match and get OBC for the difference.

I however have not had any.

When I tried my reply was there excursion is 5 hours long and ours is 5:15 minutes long. I'm like really. It takes that long just to get people organized. They said sorry it had to be exactly the same

I just got a nice OBC after price matching 2 of my Alaska excursions at the website www.alaska-shoreexcursions.com

 

With the 110% price match I will be getting approx. $81 OBC for my Skagway excursion and another $61 OBC for my Juneau excursion :)

Wow, never heard of this. So, if you find a private excursion that matches Carnival exactly, you book w/ Carnival for the same price & they give you OBC for the diff?

That's correct! They must match exactly though (hours, transportation, activities)

There is a form to fill out. They e-mail you back whether you qualify. They do ask questions like is lunch provided, is transportation included, etc.

:( But denied a different price match with a competitor cruise line on the grounds that it is only available to guest of that cruise line.
