Taxi / Shuttle service from Port Everglades to Ft. Lauderdale Airport Help

Has anyone just waited and gotten a shuttle/taxi without pre-reservations and if so how long of a wait time did you have and where will you go to wait for one.

 

I have not made a shuttle or taxi reservation for pick up at the Royal Caribbean Cruise terminal in Ft. Lauderdale at Port Everglades on return from our cruise in a few week. April 1 -9th.

Hoping they will be a line of shuttle vans/taxi's that are ready available at the port that are waiting to take you to Ft. Lauderdale airport.

 

Any information will be appreciated and what is excepted for 4 adults from port to airport. Thank you all so much in advance for your help.:)

There will be taxi lines at the terminal and in south Florida van/SUV taxis cost the same as a sedan - about $15 to the airport (the seaport and the airport are almost contiguous to each other and the ships can be seen easily from the airport). A shuttle charging per person fares would be much more expensive and not necessary.

I've never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for a cab when getting off a ship @ Port Everglades.There are signs at the terminals directing you to the taxi line. The person at the taxi line will direct you to the appropriate size cab for your party.Cost to FLL has always been between $12-$14 plus tip for the cab, not per person.

There will be larger cabs for 4 and luggage. Might have to wait a bit longer. Or just take 2 cabs if needed.

That's great. You have tons of time. I'd enjoy a leisurely breakfast and avoid the initial rush.

We used Uber last fall to get from port to airport. Waited maybe 10 minutes tops (if that) and cost was around $8. Super easy.

Uber will be cheaper and cleaner. Definitely the way to go.

Ditto Uber. I wish I could turn back time and undo all those terrible taxi rides with rude drivers who only accepted cash at double or more Uber prices.
