yogimax Posted November 17, 2005 #4 Share Posted November 17, 2005 What does this answer have to do with Royal Caribbean??? Ah, an excellent question! I have often wondered why all the hotel questions were left on the individual cruise line boards. In this case, might it be that the Harley Davidson cruises (I still don't know if he is related to John) were sponsored by RCCL?
wrp96 Posted November 17, 2005 #5 Share Posted November 17, 2005 They run special Harley Davidson cruises on some of the Voyager class ships. There's even a special area to hold people's Harleys on those ships.
joeyancho Posted November 18, 2005 #6 Share Posted November 18, 2005 I think if you Google Harlet Davidson Royal Caribbean, you will find the agency that runs these cruises. The Feb. 4or5, 2006 sailing of the Explored is a Harley Cruise.
larkwind Posted November 18, 2005 #7 Share Posted November 18, 2005 We got to watch the Harleys coming off a RCCL ship last dec (we were on Celebrity in front of one of the RCCL ships) in St Thomas. What a sight! The dock workers and passengers stopped and watched/admired while the cycles were coming off. Then they were off for a beautiful day in the hills of St Thomas. Sorry I can't tell you any more, but it looked fun!
steve20832 Posted November 18, 2005 #8 Share Posted November 18, 2005 There is some info about it here http://www.cruisecritic.com/features/articles.cfm?ID=224 (scroll down about 1/4 down the page) I bet if you called RCCL they would point you in the direction about dates and a contact person. jlx2 Posted November 18, 2005 #9 Share Posted November 18, 2005 We were just on the Mariner the week of November 6 and there was a group called "Hogs on the High Seas" and they were great! We weren't part of their group but we met a lot of wonderful people that were. I guess they have vendors on board and special biker events for the group. Try to do a google search under Hogs on the High Seas and I bet you'll find a lot of information.
phantom728 Posted November 18, 2005 #10 Share Posted November 18, 2005 We were on the Explorer this past January and there was a group of bikers on our ship, but I can't remember which group they were with. The bikes where stored on the ship and when we docked in St. Martin for the day, there was the beautiful sound of the many v-twin engines to be heard outside the ship. We saw them again as we walked through town later in the day. Someday, my DH and I hope to do this as well:)

kevnick0814 Posted March 7, 2006 #12 Share Posted March 7, 2006 There was a Harley crew on the EOS from 2/5-2/12. We had a port side balcony near the front and watched as they disembarked. Pretty cool. We met a few of the folks on the tour. They were from all over the US. On some stops they even had police escorts around the island. Not bad! Beats driving with a 'cabbie commando'! ;)
