Sea and Me Posted March 30, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 30, 2017 Once one cancels a cruise how long before it appears on your credit card statement?? Thanks for your answers :)
JF - retired RRT Posted March 30, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 30, 2017 IIRC it takes a couple of weeks. If you use a Future Cruise Deposit (FCD), it goes back to your account almost immediately.
Colo Cruiser Posted March 30, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 30, 2017 How did you cancel? After final before final? With ins, no ins.
notentirelynormal Posted March 31, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 31, 2017 I would assume it depends on your credit card/bank as well. Some might work faster then others.

phabric Posted March 31, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 31, 2017 I canceled a cruise that had a deposit. The deposit was refunded less than 10 days on my credit card.

anthonyy7 Posted March 31, 2017 #8 Share Posted March 31, 2017 I've canceled before final payment through my TA and it's usually 1-2 business days.
jb008 Posted March 31, 2017 #9 Share Posted March 31, 2017 I cancelled a cruise after final payment deadline earlier this week via a TA. I think the cruise was actually cancelled on Tues (3/28) and the credit posted to my American Express was backdated to 3/28, but didn't actually show in my account until 3/30. For my specific case, the deposit (charged as a separate transaction a while ago also to my AmEx) was forfeited; the amount I was refunded was the same amount that I had been charged on my AmEx at final payment a few weeks ago (idk if that helped expedite anything?). Hope this info helps!
