Totally shocked by RC charging for this, surely main reason for a cruise is for the food and not having to.pay extra unless of course you are heading to one of the ultra fine dining restaurants. But fish & chips come on !!!.:)

Switch roles with RCI for a minute - if you know some guests are willing to pay extra for some things, why would you give it away free?

It appears that the bridge webcam that was initiated for the recent refit is back up and working again showing Indy in Le Havre along with Costa Mediterranea. I wonder if it will stay operational and if the rest of the fleet will eventually get them.

We got off the 2 night free cruise yesterday for C&A invited guests and media.

The ship looks amazing . I was gobsmacked at how the Windjammer has changed, was not expecting a complete overhaul from top to bottom .

The Players Sports Bar is situated where the casino tables were in the walk through from dining room to casino. I never liked walking past those tables . One thing though it is extremely noisy in there. Having seen the one on Symphony on the Boardwalk it did not seem to carry sound but once in the Players bar at night I had to walk out. Feel sorry for those in cabins on deck 3, that noise has got to have some impact .

I loved where the mini golf is situated and the glass windbreaks with loungers. That was a go to area on both Navigator and Explorer for friends and myself.

The Suite lounge is stunning with really fancy nibbles.

We look forward to returning on 28th May

Was any of the hallway carpeting replaced? When I was on Indy in February it was really filthy...at least near our cabin and along that entire side (Deck 10 portside). By "filthy" I mean that you could see a darker "track mark" down the middle of the corridor, and then also "branches" going to each door in the corridor.

I assumed it had gotten so nasty-looking because they were going to replace it during drydock anyway so why bother steam-cleaning it...so I'm hoping they did.

All the hallway carpetting is new. This is what is so bizarre. You walk down the corridors smelling lovely carpet, open your cabin door and it is the carpetting and curtains from years ago in the yellow, green and gold colour scheme. It would not be so bad if they changed the curtains to a solid colour or have the new style voiles with black outs behind. You cannot have everything , they still work ! The carpet was clean in our JS 1670

I'm glad they replaced the hallway carpeting. It was also horrible on Freedom in December.

I'm just shocked they didn't update the cabins at all. That's a huge mistake in my opinion, they were looking very tired even last year. Some new upholstery or carpet in there would have made a world of difference, especially seeing how much better Adventure and Navigator look with theirs updated.

Yeah, those cabin photos look....drearily familiar.

Still, I'm glad they replaced the hallway carpeting. The "tire tracks" (caused by years of people's shoes marking the carpet) looked so bad I had to take a photo of the hallway; it's linked in my review but on FB, so alas it's inaccessible via CC.

Did they remove the sauna/steam rooms from the gym/spa? The deck plan looks like they removed them from the women's locker room.

Cannot answer that for you. They did get rid of the ridiculous boxing ring and have a nice new exercise floor in same area. Where the excercise floor used to be is now a reception desk with wall behind where they installed cabins. Didn’t get to see those cabins.
