gottaluvcruises12 Posted April 7, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 7, 2017 Hi, I will be traveling to Half Moon Cay in September this year and from the looks of things it seems that Half Moon Cay is a relaxing beach with not much to do as far as jet ski's, paddle boats, etc. At least without going through carnival. DanMan86 Posted April 7, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 7, 2017 Half Moon Cay is a private island owned by Carnival. Its not inhabited unless theres a ship docked there. Anything you want to do other than walk the island or enjoy the beach must be booked through Carnival. What you see on the site is what you get. It is a fantastic place and one of the best beaches you could ever visit though.
cruiseapril Posted April 8, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 8, 2017 There is lots to do there as far as walking and exploring. One of the excursions we did, the Eco-lagoon, was good and not expensive. It was through the ship, also.
cb at sea Posted April 12, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 12, 2017 You don't HAVE to get off the ship, if you don't want to...and if you do, you don't have to stay all day! Come and go at will!

Not true- a couple of HAL employees live there. I won't get into who owns the island.
gottaluvcruises12 Posted April 12, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted April 12, 2017 This will be my 4th cruise. First time with hubby. I do enjoy getting out on the island and going to into the city. From what I see and gather this is a private island that only has carnival excursions available. It will be a chill and peaceful day. Not busy like Nassau. gottaluvcruises12 Posted October 30, 2017 Author #10 Share Posted October 30, 2017 What is available for sale there? Booze, soda's, food, souvenirs? Half Moon Cay is a private island so everything is charged to your sail and sign card, but they have drinks and stuff...They have a BBQ...it's okay...wasn't the best things I ever tasted. We went on Sunday so everything was closed...they had one small shop that had T-shirts.
CherryG Posted November 2, 2017 #11 Share Posted November 2, 2017 We've been 3 times here and will be here again in Nov. I don't ever remember seeing a waterpark, but I've read comments about it. I can't really find anything on it. Is there a pool there, or what? Anyone see it and is there an extra cost?
sardam Posted November 3, 2017 #12 Share Posted November 3, 2017 I haven't been there in a couple years, but there was no pool, just the most gorgeous beach.

chong67 Posted November 10, 2017 #14 Share Posted November 10, 2017 I been in this place and I walk 2-3 miles out, past the Off Limit sign. I think I am going to do the other side this time and walk as far as I can. I love it!
