diamondj Posted April 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2017 I should know the answer to this, but please would someone remind me at what stage do you put in details of your cc and who's allowed to charge to it. I have completed all our online check in details and am awaiting cruise docs, but need to help our two newbies with their details and have forgotten whether I've already entered our cc stuff (sign of old age creeping up on me!!). They will be using their own cc for their expenditure. Thanks everyone for taking pity on this poor lost soul.
phoenix1181 Posted April 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2017 No credit card information is needed until you get to port. At check-in, they'll take the card & run it. It's required on another cruise line but not NCL.
diamondj Posted April 12, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted April 12, 2017 Thanks for this. I thought I was going mad, not remembering having put in those details on our check in. Feel more relaxed now.
casofilia Posted April 12, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 12, 2017 Princess do it to speed up check-in; you do it at the port check-in on NCL.
don't-use-real-name Posted April 12, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 12, 2017 The only cc data needed PRE-port is the payment and FINAL payment thru either NCL or a TA ! phoenix1181 is correct - upon checking in at the port your cc will be swiped to set up your on board account. Have more than one cc and want to spread out the expenses - you can do that - you do not need to use the same cc used for the FINAL payment. Thus in filling out the ONLINE documentation - the cc data is not required/necessary. The BIG important factor is the Passport data. Just fill in the blanks - - just the facts. If something is missing the online check-in may prompt you for it to continue otherwise at port side check-in you maybe asked about it. No cc monies required until then. Relax now and get into the cruise mode !
