Formal night?

From O's website:

Is there a dress code?

Recommended onboard clothing is resort or country club casual. For evening dining, elegant casual resort wear is suggested. We request that casual jeans, shorts, t-shirts or tennis shoes not be worn at dinner.

I was a bit amused to see the question! As has been said, casual is fine. Many people aren't sure what "country club casual" means. Count me in with them. But if you are neatly dressed you'll be just fine.

If you should want to dress up for a special occasion (I don't mean a tux for him and a formal gown for her!), that's okay too.

How formal is the dress on Oceania? We've cruised on Azamara, Princess and Celebrity and never brought "formal" dress. Will we be OK on Oceania in smart casual?
