dam64 Posted April 26, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2017 Hello, we cruised Royal Princess over a year ago. This was our first Princess cruise, but not new to cruising. Shows in the atrium were boring as well as most of the entertainment. Staff wasn't very friendly either. Food was very good throughout the whole ship. We loved MUTS and the adults only pool area. We are thinking of possibly giving this ship and cruise line another chance, we like the ports its going to. So tell me in over a year has much changed that we should give it another try? skynight Posted April 26, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2017 Center stairs opened for passenger use during the October 2016 dry dock. Your posting sounds like you do not enjoy the Princess' entertainment and activity model.
floridalover5623 Posted April 26, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2017 Here's the stairs being added. On our last Royal trip last Nov we thought the crew couldn't be any more friendly. I suspect they've all rotated out by now. Even the cook staff was more than helpful than we've found on other ships.:) Other than the stairs being added there were no notable changes. BDRebel Posted April 26, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 26, 2017 Just got off the Royal. The center stairs are installed and open. Crew and staff are fabulous. Entertainment is subjective. A lot of string quartet, steel drum, 70s singing group and a piano player or two - good at what they do. The theater had a different staged show each night. MDR was, on the whole, outstanding. The 70's show sounds fantastic where is that on the ship? Is it nightly or only a few nights for a 10?
