Purchasing OBC

I am from Canada. Am considering purchasing some OBC to use on port stops for my upcoming cruise. Exchange rate is very favourable. Can I cash in OBC on board for cash ?

Not exactly but "sort of".

Create a casino account at a slot machine. Ask staff for help if needed. Load up your account from your OBC. Play a while. Win or lose. Cash out your account. Don't be greedy and definitely do play a while. If you really just want cash why not take it with you? If you want cash in a port hit an ATM and get cash. Not sure why one would need to purchase OBC in order to obtain cash. Looking at your post I'm guessing it is just the exchange rate that has caught your eye.

Not 100% positive, but I know someone on here will correct me if I am wrong. It is possible to, rather than purchase OBC, purchase casino credits instead. Check to see if it is the same rate.

Then upon boarding there will be cards in your stateroom showing your casino credits. You can take them to casino directly and cash them in.

I recall doing that some time ago, got them in $100 units, and just cashed some in as I needed the US cash to spend in ports.
