tgloersen Posted May 4, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 4, 2017 Hi All, Got a Escape cruise coming up shortly. First time sailing with NCL. How are the beds for comfort ability? Should i request a mattress topper? I always do on RCI ships as those beds are usually hard as a rock. Thanks TG
Rare ColeThornton Posted May 4, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 4, 2017 I think they are very comfortable but your idea of comfortable may be different from mine. Simply test the bed when you board and if necessary ask your Steward for a topper.
zqvol Posted May 4, 2017 #3 Share Posted May 4, 2017 Impossible to give you an answer that is meaningful. Everyone has a different idea of what makes a comfortable mattress. If we all liked the same thing there would only be one type of mattress available to buy. Best suggestion, try it out for a nap when you get to your cabin and if you don't like it then ask the steward to bring one at turn down.
pcakes122 Posted May 4, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 4, 2017 As someone (with rheumatoid arthritis) who has sailed, RCI, Celebrity & NCL frequently, I can tell you that you are going to be pleasantly surprised (and relieved lol) on NCL. I have to have MULTIPLE toppers (or an extra mattress) on both RCI and Celebrity cruises. Never even had to request a topper on NCL. Regular balcony rooms have been just fine - Haven or suite class beds are divine. Have a great trip! :)
