Hi All,

Got a Escape cruise coming up shortly. First time sailing with NCL. How are the beds for comfort ability? Should i request a mattress topper? I always do on RCI ships as those beds are usually hard as a rock.

Thanks

TG

Impossible to give you an answer that is meaningful. Everyone has a different idea of what makes a comfortable mattress. If we all liked the same thing there would only be one type of mattress available to buy.

Best suggestion, try it out for a nap when you get to your cabin and if you don't like it then ask the steward to bring one at turn down.

As someone (with rheumatoid arthritis) who has sailed, RCI, Celebrity & NCL frequently, I can tell you that you are going to be pleasantly surprised (and relieved lol) on NCL.

I have to have MULTIPLE toppers (or an extra mattress) on both RCI and Celebrity cruises. Never even had to request a topper on NCL.

Regular balcony rooms have been just fine - Haven or suite class beds are divine.

Have a great trip! :)
