Payment for excursions??

So we are cruising in October and final payment isn't due until August. I'm wanting to book specific excursions now, but I'd rather not pay for them until final payment. Can I do that? Or do they expect payment of excursions up front?

Excursions have to be paid for when they are booked.

Unfortunately, you do have to pay them at the time you make the excursion reservation. I think Carnival discovered long ago (which, I've heard, it seems Princess has come to realize) if you allow booking without any payment, people will book an excursion and then cancel closer to sailing which freezes out folks in the interim who really want the excursion but can't reserve it because it's capacity controlled and full.

Also check out excursion vendors in the ports you're visiting. You can find tons of awesome things to do outside of Carnival excursions. A lot of them only require a deposit.
