Gem to Bahamas

Taking the gem to Bahamas in august. Any recommendations?

Watch the weather just before you leave. You're sailing in hurricane season and it only takes a little wind or a little rough seas to have your GSC port call cancelled.

We have sailed out of NY down the Atlantic to either the Bahamas or the Carib at least 10 times mostly during Oct, Nov and Jan. We have had smooth sailings and rough sailings. It's really a roll of the dice. None so bad that we wouldn't cruise that route again. Just be prepared. Make sure you have some seasickness meds, patches or bands. Enjoy your cruise.
