Ft. Laauderdale Hotel near water taxi

Can someone recommend hotels within walking distance to a water taxi stop that doesn't break the bank in Ft. Lauderdale...want to stay a couple nights after our cruise and not rent a car. Thanks!

If you look around the board and on the water taxi website, you will see a good number of hotels. Hilton Marina, for example.

 

We have no idea what "breaks the bank" for you. As discussed here frequently, hotel rates are high in Ft Lauderdale certain peak times of the year. Plus, being on the water doesn't usually drive rates down.

Hilton Marina, Gallery One Doubletree, and the Riverside all have adjacent water taxi stops but there are lots more with a short walking distance (for example, the Bahia Mar is very close to the Bahia Cabana stop). Name the date and the budget and we can be more specific. Seeing you are in S. CA, you might have a different view of "breaking the bank" than someone from the midwest. ;)

I stayed at this super cute little guesthouse: http://cruisingisntjustforoldpeople.co.uk/2017/01/07/fort-lauderdale-airport-to-the-port-of-miami/ definitely would recommend it!

 

Wasn't too expensive and I really enjoyed the water taxi! The water taxi has so many stops I wouldn't think it would be hard to find a hotel close to a stop. :-)

Oooohhh -- the Riverside is my favorite Ft. Lauderdale hotel. Great location, great in-hotel restaurant with a number of other restaurants within five minutes walking distance, great staff.

I have stayed at all mentioned and I would choose Gallery One. Stop at back door and also block from Galleria Mall. Short walk to beach.0
