Melthemag Posted May 18, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 18, 2017 Hi all I am taking my first ever cruise on the navigator of the seas in September, and I see that you can have your breakfast in the main dining room I was just wondering if you would need to wear trousers and shirt or would shorts be acceptable Mel

Havingfun2010 Posted May 18, 2017 #6 Share Posted May 18, 2017 You can wear anything but bathing suits. But please refrain from sleepwear and comb your hair. You aren't at home!

iuki Posted May 18, 2017 #9 Share Posted May 18, 2017 My husband wore a sleeveless T-shirt to breakfast and they asked him to put on a T-shirt with sleeves. Believe it or not, a woman was also turned away who was wearing a sleeveless shirt at breakfast. Not sure, but I think it was Independence OTS. Never did that again, so I don't know if it was an isolated situation.

I like to pretend I'm going to go up to the running track and walk it off afterwards.

SECdawg Posted May 18, 2017 #13 Share Posted May 18, 2017 We were told that one of our teens could not go into breakfast on the last morning because he had a tank top on. Luckily we had a carry on with us so he was able to change into a shirt with sleeves.

laseiber Posted May 18, 2017 #17 Share Posted May 18, 2017 Thanks for the reply, and it would be shorts and a polo or tee shirt Mel Just make sure your tee shirt has sleeves. Husband was asked to change, his shirt had a regular tee shirt neckline, but did not have sleeves. We had no problem with that, but was upset they didn't continue to enforce dress code at dinner. cb at sea Posted November 11, 2017 #22 Share Posted November 11, 2017 Breakfast and lunch in the dining room is VERY casual for those meals. Shorts/flipflops are fine. Breakfast in the dining room is so much nicer than in the buffet!
