Casino table minimums

It does vary by ship but I believe I was told by the roulette dealer that fleet wide it is now $10. the chips are all worth $2 ( or higher if you want to buy them higher) and you are required to plan $10 min.

For blackjack, the table min is actually $6. They want you to play $1 on their bonus bet... you dont have to do that, what I do is just bet $6 on the main bet.

Craps is normally $5, unless it is a premier cruise then it is $10..

Hope that helps.

Be aware, if the tables get busy, they do tend to raise the minimums...and, unlike Vegas, you aren't "grandfathered" into the lower mins....if you wish to keep playing, you'll have to raise your bets.

Also, I believe the $6 blackjack tables only pay 6/5 instead of 3/2 on blackjack.

That is correct. I stopped playing them when they went to $6, because of the pay out.

Its hard enough to win at Blackjack with an auto shuffler, but its even worse with horrible payouts.

You can play at the "Fun 21" table for a minimum $6 bet and the blackjack payout is 3/2. "Fun 21" is similar to Spanish 21, in that there are not any kings in the deck. Also, the cards are shuffled by the dealer vs. an auto shuffler. There are other rules to "Fun 21" and they have a board at the table that spells them out. I would suggest you read and make sure you understand before playing. Otherwise, I have a great time at this table.

I hate the $6 min bet, I always get OCD about it and just bet a min of $10.

I'm usually a strictly blackjack girl, but have been trying to learn to play craps for the next cruise, but it is a premier cruise. So damn I guess min is $10. Now does that raise all the min bets, (such as come bets, place bets, etc.) on table or just initial pass line or don't pass bet?

Thanks

They might keep it low, but I have heard from several friends that take the cruises that it is always 10.

The min applies to the field, pass line, come line ( dont pass/come) and place bets. Not to the inside.. so you can still do 1 hard ways or 1 for 6 6 ... a 6 or 8 will cost you 12 to place though.

If you were gonna start with $100 go up to $200.

have fun!

What's a bonus bet? Playing blackjack for over 40 years, never heard of this on "real" blackjack. I've double downed and split, never sat down where there was a bonus option

they have a chart of things if you get on the first two cards you win. I honestly don't recall most of them, but one was matching kings. and I mean 2 kings of spades ( etc) since they are using multiple decks, and an auto shuffler it can happen. Very very rare chance of it, but it can.

Are there $5 blackjack and roulette tables? We'll be on Sensation if it varies by ship.

Took a Premier cruise in April (on the Magic out of Port Canaveral). Blackjack minimum was $6; craps table was $5 (very surprising), I believe that roulette was also $5 (though I did not play). Though there were 300+ Premier guests, I did not find that the casino was so crowded that you could not find a place to play. Also, the drink service (even with free drinks for me and my guest all week) was excellent. I do know that each ship / itinerary is different, but I was a bit concerned about table minimums and service on Premier cruise, but was pleasantly surprised.

Maybe not on the ships you have been on, but on the Vista, Esctacy, Fantasy, Sunshine and Paradise it has been. For the past few years.

Every ship I have been on has had the lucky ladies side bets. I never play it.

Thanks for the info. I'm taking a premier cruise on Splendor out of Fort Lauderdale in Sept. I hope I experience the same as you did.

Question. Since you had the DOU card, did you skip on the Cheers program? I can't decide whether to buy it or not, if I do the DOU card would be deemed worthless..
