gagenie Posted June 4, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 4, 2017 I just checked the Princess webcam for the Coral and it's still showing to be in Whittier. They was supposed to have left last night. We are sailing out this Saturday from Vancouver and this is making me nervous!

fishywood Posted June 4, 2017 #7 Share Posted June 4, 2017 Always note the time stamp on the webcam. 01:23 GMT Sunday Morning is 16:23 Saturday afternoon in Alaska. So simply a case of the webcam failing to be up to date. Stick to one of the Marine Traffic websites if knowing a ship's exact position is essential. fishywood Posted June 4, 2017 #10 Share Posted June 4, 2017 Oops I was off by an hour: 01:23 GMT is 5:23 PM in Alaska, not 4:23. (Pesky Daylight Savings Time) But it got me wondering: was such an obvious time stamp of 01:23 a dummy used when Bridge Cam is locked up? Guess not, because Emerald Princess' cam currently has a time stamp of 08:36 GMT which is 1:36 AM in Seattle. But the image is in daylight. The mystery continues. Rare blizzard44ca Posted June 5, 2017 #11 Share Posted June 5, 2017 Not sure what's up, but have been looking at webcams recently, and Coral Princess seems to be regularly behind. It only seems to update a few times a day (rather than every 5 minutes). Definitely check the time stamp on this and compare with the others if you're confused about GMT.
