Can someone explain my Vegas rewards for OBC

Recommended Posts

I booked a cruise on 9-13 for 10-2018. On the 14 The I redeemed my points towards onboard credit. The confirmation e-mail I got from my vegas gave me instructions of what I needed to send casino royals (ship) and I sent them the confirmation I had got with the additional information I was told to include. The next day casino royals sent me an e-mail stating they had applied it and they also sent me a detailed invoice showing the credit! Very easy.

My question is... on Monday it appeared that the price went down so I called royal. I spoke to someone about a price Chang (I was under bogo- 100.00 onboard credit) and she put me on hold to call casino royale to make sure I wouldn't lose my my vegas onboard credit. When she came back she said they said everything was ok and I saved money. When I checked the invoice she sent me I was no longer under bogo but instead a casino rate. Can I still transfer the reservation to a ta?

This is very good information. I tried last October'16 to get an OBC applied to my Oct '17 cruise. I wasn't familiar with sending an email to clubroyale@rccl.com. I went through customer service and they wouldn't apply it. I am traveling in 4 weeks and I know I'm going to book another onboard. I just got to get my game plan for this next booking.

So should I purchase the myVegas reward before I sail.... Book while I'm onboard.... Turn the booking over to my TA with then contact clubroyale?

Thanks for the help!

I would first book onboard, then when you get home...purchase the my vegas onboard credit right away (I included our booking number on my e-mail to casino royale). When you get the confirmation from my vegas...forward that confirmation, along with res number, names, etc (the confirmation e mail from my vegas will tell you what other info they need) to the casino royale. my vegas will list The casino royale site to send it to. You will get a general email from casino royale saying they got your confirmation...then hopefully you will quickly get an email from casino royale stating they applied the credit (I also got an updated invoice on my res showing the added credit).

Then once you know you have the credit, transfer to your ta (has to be within 30 days of booking).

Good luck and happy cruising. Just remember once you cash your points in my vegas...you have to submit to casino royale within 14 days. It was just easier to do it all in one shot...

You can't combine OBC from booking onl board with the MyVegas OBC. It's one or the other. You also can't combine it with certificates you recieve from the casino.

I don't know about on board credit received when booked on board... but I got the 250.00 my vegas on board amount as well as the 100.00 on board credit I got for the bogo when I booked my cruise online.

So it's not really worth booking online for the $100OBC. You should just book online when you get home or through a TA?

If you meant onboard not worth booking, I don't know because I am not sure what perks you get any longer (I seem to recall reading there is no longer reduced deposit -I could be wrong on that). I am not sure how much onboard credit you get. When I booked last week they were offering $100 on bogo for balcony non-refundable (we get insurance).

You can also call Casino Royale to apply the credit.

Ok yeah they used to give a reduced deposit and a $100 towards your next cruise if you book while on a RCCL cruise. So there's no benefits any longer for booking in the "Next Cruise" located on the Promenade level?

They do give you on board credit on the future cruise.

I just booked a cruise 2 weeks ago from Canada in CAD. I applied for the $250 OBC and sent a email off (on a Sunday even though it says Monday to Friday) and 5 minutes later I got a reply saying that the credit was applied. It is on my account and now used.

I had friend who applied from Canada that booked with a US TA in USD and was denied the credit because the group that the TA had put together had "Perks" and thus no credit. No double dipping.

I think it is crap shoot on how this works on any given day or who you get.

It's very clear in the terms and conditions that it's not valid for groups. So I'm guessing your friend was booked through a TA group that got a reduced rate or some special OBC. Bummer.

How do you get this email that explains everything? I have no idea how to redeem, etc.

please help!

When you purchase the reward in MyVegas, you will get an email with the reward confirmation. In the email, it gives you the instructions as to how to get the On Board Credit. Basically, you have to apply the reward within 30 days of booking the reservation and the reservation cannot be part of a group. You'll be surprised at how easy it is when you do it.

I used my beloved gold coins this morning to get the $250.00 OBC. I emailed my confirmation number early this morning, then called a few hours later since this was my first time. The person I spoke with told me that they would need to call my TA to make sure that i could use this promotion just in case I used a promo with them that was not able to be combined. She put me on hold while she tried to contact my TA she said she could not but would try again later. A few hours later i was checking and noticed when I logged in to check prices of cruise add on's like drink package and it was there!

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi,

I have a couple of questions regarding the MyVegas program. I have enough little gold coins to get a reward. I am going to make a cruise reservation but was waiting until I have enough coins. Well, now the 250.00 OBC is sold out. How long does it take for more to be placed online?

Also, I have been playing for so long that I am not sure if there is an account number for me. If so, where could I find it?

Thanks so much!

I just checked on the PopSlots app and it shows "3 left today." They refresh the rewards all the time, so just keep checking. There's no account number; they go by your email address.

That is good I booked my cruise 71 days out and I am Canadian and I was able to redeem it. Oddly it can not be used unless your 90 days out. I talked to the agent about using it for May 2018 at the same time since I have a ton of left over coins and they said no. Might hold out to March. But then again might not be a reward by then

After reading the terms and conditions, I have another question. It states that you can have 2 rewards in a rolling 180 day period. However, only one of this type of reward can only used by each MyVegas member. Does that mean that you can only get one 250.00 reward?? Has any one got more than one of the 250.00 rewards? Thanks!
