Can someone explain my Vegas rewards for OBC

Recommended Posts

I also use AARP Rewards. Royal Caribbean participates and your points allows you to purchase a discounted gift card (10% savings off face value of gift card so you pay $90 for a $100 gift card) which can be used when paying your deposit or payment on a new booking. Sounds okay until you learn how much better Carnivals offer is with same Rewards program. The Carnival discounted gift cards can be applied to any cruise new or existing balance even to buy OBC. Not sure why Royal is so limited there or why they have now reduced the Vegas rewards offered.

Just to confirm...multiple people on the same reservation in the same cabin can each have an OBC reward applied. I lucked out and got one of the last $250’s before they 86ed them. My husband just had a $100 applied.

Do both people have to have the slot's accounts or can one person get 2 rewards and apply to two different names in the cabin?

I believe each person needs to have their own myvegas account. It says "Limit one cruise reward per player, per sailing"

Each myvegas reward is attached to the specific person that owns that account so I can't get a reward under a different name.

I'm giving it a shot. Just sent in the reward with only 7 days before the 30 day cut off. My fiancee sent her reward in a couple seeks ago, which was the $250 OBC. I'm sending in the $100 OBC reward. I will report back regardless of the outcome.

Okay, that was extremely quick! Must've been a slow day down at Club Royale. Already received an email confirmation from Club Royale stating my MyVegas reward was received successfully and that the OBC was applied to my reservation. I don't see it in my Cruise Planner yet, so I can't use it as of now. I will check back in a few hours to see if it's there, and when it is I'll use it to repurchase our Deluxe + Zoom package.

So as far as my experience, YES you can use two different MyVegas OBC rewards on the SAME stateroom reservation. I believe they have to be two different rewards (because only one can be used per stateroom) and each person has to have their own MyVegas account (because only one reward per MyVegas player per cruise).

So in recap, we successfully used a $250 OBC reward and a $100 OBC reward to the same reservation and stateroom.

I assume if you have a third MyVegas player in the same stateroom/reservation, that third guest could also apply a reward. But this last part is in theory only.

Reviving this thread as there are lots of very informative MV & RCI posters here - thx for the last 8 pages of info!

Has anyone successfully had the MyVegas OBC applied to a cruise bought from the "paid membership big box store that has a great deal on hot dogs"?

I redeemed my voucher, and emailed in my request with all the requested info 4 days ago and received their auto-reply confirmation, but have yet to hear anything back. I'm near day 29 from my booking date so am a bit anxious for ClubRoyale to get back to me.

Thanks for any insights.

cheers,

:)

I have had it successfully applied but I did book direct with RC. That said it took about 6 days and a couple of inquiries for mine to be applied. My wife's was there in 24 hours.

Curious as to how it works if you cancel your cruise? Do you lose your coins and redeemed obc reward? .  In Australia we cant reprice the cruise we have to cancel and rebook if the price goes down.  I noticed the price on my cruise had gone under what i paid but still at this point more advantageous to keep my booking as i have 2 x $100 OBC rewards.  ..but will be sad if it gets to the point Where I have just wasted my points.

"...

As of June 2019 information regarding OBC on the free Facebook MyVEGAS game at the bottom of the  opening screen
1.  there is a selection: Games/Rewards/Wallet/Journey.
2  Select: Rewards
3  There is a choice of several rewards:
Vegas casinos, Royal Carribbean International, MSCruises, Resort World Casino etc.
4   Select Royal Carribbean International
5.  There is a choice of several rewards depending on how many points you have earned playing the MyVEGAS game. Ranging from $50 OBC, $100 OBC, for the year ending Dec 31, 2019 you can receive 5-10% discount on your cabin cost!
6  After you select what reward you want MyVegas says Pending
7.  MyVegas game sends you an email confirming what reward you selected and gives you all the steps you need to request the reward from Royal Carribbean International.
8  Follow the instructions and send email with attachment confirming reward to Royal Carribbean.  They responded within 48 hours and within 24 more hour it is reflected on your account!
9. Note you must request the reward within the first 14 days of purchasing your cruise whether thru a Travel Agent or directly through RCI
