It appears neither line offers regular Panama Canal sailings from Florida, only repo cruises at the start and end of the fall/winter season.

Both Royal and X discontinued that itinerary a number of years ago and there is nothing in their published schedules either.

The lines that have the bulk of the partial transits are HAL, Princess and NCL.

Holland America, Princes, NCL Carnival all have cruises which leave from a port in Florida go thru the first set of locks turns around and goes out the same set of locks and eventually it returns to the same port in Florida.

I have done this cruise twice on Hal's Zuiderdam and enjoyed it both times.

Starting late this year, Princess will use the Caribbean Princess for the partial transits. They will be thru the new locks, since the ship will not fit thru the old ones.

Does anyone know if RCI or Celebrity have ships that go half way through the canal & back to Florida port?

Thanks for any info.

Newly refurbished Caribbean Princess does a series of 10-day Panama Canal cruises round trip Fort Lauderdale January to March 2018.
