kdeason912 Posted June 22, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2017 Hello all! I will be cruising on the Carnival Magic on July 8 and just discovered I will have to take an exam for an online class while on the cruise. I am considering purchasing the premium internet package. Can anyone attest to the quality on board with this package? Does it matter if I use the internet on port days or at sea? Thanks so much in advance! I am freaking out right now! Clarea Posted June 22, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 22, 2017 You may reach more people with direct experience if you also ask on the dedicated Carnival forum: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
CruiserBruce Posted June 22, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 22, 2017 I agree with the idea of checking on the Carnival board. Nobody is going to be able to guarantee your connection will be patent throughout your test, as the connection is via satellite. However, being on line while at dock increases changes of solid connection some. Or, if you are in port that day, you could do a little research, and find wireless or an Internet cafe. Rare Keith1010 Posted June 23, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 23, 2017 Katie, please remember there is always risk when using the internet on a ship. You might want to have a back up plan when in port. See if you can find places that would provide wifi capabilities in a port just to be on the safe side. Keith
