onlineangel Posted June 27, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 27, 2017 (edited) I understand an Alaska cruise on Norwegian Sun will be more relaxed than many others however I have a question. Would it be acceptable to wear loungy/yoga type pants on board, especially on sea days? Specifically for buffet, casino, just walking around, or would this be pushing it a bit. Here's an example of what I'm thinking of: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/713XddnCKwL._SY450_.jpg [ETA] It's been 14 years since I've been on a cruise and that was a Caribbean/hot weather one so seeing people running around in suits/cover-ups was expected/norm. Sea Hag Posted June 27, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 27, 2017 I can't see any reason at all why something like that wouldn't work. It's very casual during the day. :)
138east Posted June 27, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 27, 2017 I just cruised Alaska and what you are proposing doesn't even begin to push it.
onlineangel Posted June 27, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted June 27, 2017 Thanks, guys! I just cruised Alaska and what you are proposing doesn't even begin to push it. Okay, that made me chuckle...

CruiseGal999 Posted June 27, 2017 #6 Share Posted June 27, 2017 That looks like a nice weight for an alaskan cruise also. It could be chilly and rainy. I sincerely hope not, but it was when I went in 2012. Also, I'd like to say thank you for not sporting tights that women wear as 'pants'. I am a big sister to a young girl. She sees this EVERYWHERE .... in real life, TV, internet, etc. So she wears skin tight leggings and a T shirt that BARELY comes to the waist band of the tights! ALL of her is crudely and completely exposed. NOT appropriate for a girl of 11 almost 12 years old. I told her we would not leave her house until she changed. Flatbush Flyer Posted June 27, 2017 #7 Share Posted June 27, 2017 Whatever you do, don't wear jeans if the weather is rainy. Instead, get some convertible climbing pants, which are extremely light and quick drying. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

If not, then WOOHOO! I am planning on bringing a couple pair of leggings but they would be for wearing under the pants (example from that photo) as an extra layer of warmth when sitting on balcony, up top seeing the sites, etc. Personally, I never go in public in just leggings. No one wants to see that!
