CDC Sanitary Score for Cruise Ships

Apparently Marina got perfect score of 100 vs an unsatisfactory score of 84 for Regatta. It is being reported on Yahoo today.

I don't know about the Marina, but the Riviera had some serious noro issues from Dec 2015 through March 2016.

Riviera was the noro ship, from personal experience.

We were on the Marina Montreal to Southampton May 2015 it did reappear about day 5

 

We had to disembark early (for another reason)& made it home before we were struck down with it

 

Lost 2 days of my life

 

 

I think it was still going around for a few cruises after that

 

 

Seems 2015 & 2016 were bad years for Noro on the ships

Thank you both for chiming in - I guess my memory wasn't that far off after all.

Bottom line - it can happen on any ship/any cruise line and it's the people and not the ship that are sick.

Lyn, I remember your experience well because we left the ship in NY (when you boarded), and the problem seemed to have been taken care of toward the end of our cruise. I went to your roll call to let people know what was happening. And then it reappeared as you say ...

 

As long as some people don't practice good sanitation habits, it's very hard to eradicate this nasty problem.
