Will I have any troubles bringing on a hand held personal fan? It's brand new and there are no cords, it runs on batteries. Heading to Mexico and I may melt without it! lol

I don't see any reason you can't bring that on board.

The following items are prohibited and their possession is not allowed on board any Company ship by passengers or crew without a valid lawful reason, unless required in direct support of ship operations, as part of a crew member's official duties, and only with consent of the Ship's Master.

• Air, BB or pellet pistols or rifles

• Flammable substances and hazardous chemicals unless carried in limited quantities and in accordance with company instructions (e.g., petrol, methylated spirits, paint thinners, etc.)
  
• Any other item made, adapted or intended for use as an offensive weapon
  
• Stun devices
  
• Large batteries
  
• Items brought on board the vessel and not supplied by the Company containing any kind of heating element, such as but not limited to: immersion heaters, heating blankets, flat irons, water heaters, coffee machines with heating / hot plates, etc.
  
• Any remotely controlled or autonomously flying devices, toys or drones
  
• Self-balancing hover boards, air wheels, scooters, or Segways (except those provided by the Company for shore excursions)
  
• Compressed gas tanks, bottles, cylinders including dive tanks, propane tanks and aerosol cans
  
• Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRB), ham radios, satellite phones, transformers, lasers and laser pointers

Your battery operated fan is fine.

They're worried about electrical fires.

I just took 4 battery operated fans on the Dream and had no problems. It definitely gets warm in the cabins so they're a must for us.

I will be carrying a nice travel fan from this point forward. The last 2 cruises our cabin was just a tad too warm at night and it would have been helped.

I took one of those small hand held battery fans with me on the last cruise so I could make it during the Lifeboat drill. I'm claustrophobic and it was very helpful and I asked if it was o.k. and they told me it was and to also let them know when I cruise that I am claustrophobic and they would let me in front.

I have a small 6 inch battery operated one I always take for bedtime and now I'm looking for a hand held one for our trip to Cuba, I may live in Florida but I know where all the air is and I imagine Cuba doesn't have much air conditioning.

I bring a foldable fan everywhere I go...no batteries....simply arm power! It works! For the cabin, I use a 5-6inch desk fan...electric. I need it on for the air, all night long, and batteries will NOT last for 7 nights straight. Too heavy to bring extras.

We bring a 5-inch battery-operated fan we bought on amazon and we had no problem.

I have a super mini fan (3 inch palm fan) which I purchased at Wal-mart a couple of years ago for $2 in the summer. I also used it during a deck muster...and it is my breath of FRESH air in the casino. Particularly if I am sitting next to an impolite or 6 pack a day walking lung cancer contributor. It is very powerful and if the smoke is going right to my face, I can create my own smoke free zone.
