Hi- Staying for one night at Sheraton Old San Juan. Probably arrive at hotel around 2:30pm and would love to visit a fort. Any recommendation as to which one to go to? Also, best way to get to the forts? Thank you so very much. It will be myself, husband, and two teens

We are staying at the Sheraton OSJ in September, roughly same time frame (early afternoon for next day embark). I've been looking and Google Maps puts walking distance to El Morro at about 1.1 miles (20-25 minutes). Walking distance to San Cristobal much shorter, about 1/3 of a mile (7-8 minutes). Haven't made up our mind yet which we're going to do. Probably just depends on how much walking you want to do and whether you want to meander through OSJ on the way to El Morro. We'll probably figure where we want to eat dinner and have a couple drinks that evening and decide which to do based on which fort is an easier path.

There's a free HOHO trolly stop across from the hotel...we used it when we stayed there to get to the forts and give us an overview of old town.

Thank you! Did you prefer one fort over the other?

Thank you Husky. I can report when I get back what we ended up doing
