Grandeur lobster on New England cruises?

Recommended Posts

Just read a Celebrity review which stated that while in Maine, the ship purchased lobsters and presented them for dinner that evening. Any chance that Grandeur also does this on the Canada-New England cruises?

Not a chance, although they may source some of the really expensive upcharge lobsters locally. Be sure to indulge freely while in port. Fresh lobsters, lobster rolls, yummy.

We just got back from the Grandeur NE cruise. There is lobster tail on the last formal night but it's warm water lobster. You can purchase lobster as an upcharge any night in the dining room but I don't believe it is fresh caught from Maine. Right now is not lobster season anyway. Lobster season is from April to June and September to November. Enjoy the cruise it was great and definitely get a lobster roll while in Maine.
