cheri Posted July 15, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2017 Hi cruisers, we are going to Ensanda next month and looking to buy 8 ponchos. My question is whats the going price for them even after working a deal and is it better to go into town for a better deal or can you get them right off the ship. TY for any help
riffatsea Posted July 15, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2017 Hi, I live near the border with Mexico but haven't bought a Baja jacket in a looong time so I cannot tell you prices but in my experience it is always best to go into town to shop rather than trying to buy from a vendor near the pier. You can compare prices in more than 1 store to see where you get the best deal.
cccer Posted July 15, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 15, 2017 We were there in December and I think you would get a better deal there. The town is a quick walk from the pier so you can still check out the nearby vendors on the way to town. There are tons of shops in town selling ponchos and other souvenirs. All you need to do is give one of the ponchos a quick sideways look and you will have the shop people giving you offers. I'm sure you could get a good deal for 8 of them. If you don't get the deal you want, just walk away. There will be a shop next door to bargain with.
SadieN Posted July 15, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 15, 2017 Lots of stores along Ave Primera/Ave Lopez. Bargain when buying several, otherwise the prices are almost the same as you'd pay at Olvera Street.
