Iconcierge and airplane mode questions

I usually put my phone on airplane mode. If I download I concierge does it stay on airplane mode? Do we have to go to guest services to sign up for I concierge or is it automatic billing? Also, if I received free wi fi as a perk, is that for one device or the cabin only? I'm aNon techy and fearful of a bigger phone bill sending me to debtors prison[emoji15]

You can use the wifi and iconcierge in airplane mode. Just turn on your wifi independently.

Using iConcierge to look at your room bill, book shows & dinners, see the schedule of activities is free. Just download the app before you leave home. If you want to use iConcierge to communicate between phones on the ship, you need to pay the service charge, per phone.

To sign-up, just connect to the ship's wifi with your phone and follow the directions to enroll in the paid service.

Let me help with some basic phone operation.

When you put it in AIRPLANE MODE, it will stay there forever until you change something. It can not get out of airplane mode by itself.

But - as said - if you then turn on WIFI, then the wifi will be active. (phone service will still be off)

One other thing while you are here. Go to settings and turn off DATA ROAMING. If you do not know how to do this (and have at least tried for a minute or so), just ask somebody near you and they will show you.

I would add that you should download iconcierge BEFORE you get on the ship.

Turing on airplane mode automatically turns off WiFI. You need to turn WiFI back on independently.
