sheridan318 Posted August 4, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2017 Hi hope someone can answer my question, what is a hump cabin and why are they popular? We have cruised a lot and just pick a balcony and that's that so not even sure if we have ever had one of these cabins
SoCalCruzzing Posted August 4, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2017 Jump cabins are where the boat bumps out, you get a great view of the whole length of the boat from front to stern without any obstructions also some have larger balcony Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Merion_Mom Posted August 4, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 4, 2017 They are right by a bank of elevators and some people find that a desirable location.

cb at sea Posted August 4, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 4, 2017 On most ships, it's simply convenience of location. On other ships, some of the "hump" balconies are a bit deeper (usually those on the "edge" of the hump), than other side balconies. Radiance class ships have the varying balcony sizes. Voyager and freedom class do not. Check deck plans for drawings of approximate balcony sizes.
